Paul Marino is an artist of various sorts. He is a founder of Popeye & Cloudy, the creative partnership (with Fred Jones)
that specializes in dramatic subway busking, dramatic writing, and
producing works on screen and stage. He is also creator and producer of
The Chinook, a webseries and television pilot
based on his own nomadic years and survival skills. He is known in the
stand-up comedy circles of New York City, Boston, and San Francisco,
for his passion and inconvention. A published columnist and avid
writer,
Paul is currently working on a memoir-based piece called All Over The Place. Paul's material draws from life experiences that include a background in ecology, forest fire, commercial fishing, and surviving as an independent artist abroad, living in a miniature R.V.; busking on the subway; and much
more. Right now, he is raising funds to produce a professional pilot episode of The Chinook and to produce a short documentary and parody about the daily life of busking Shakespeare, The Popeye & Cloudy Movie. Paul lives with Fred Jones and Edward Dominguez in Brooklyn, NY.
